Jedi Temple: Blue Group Skip Navigation

The Blue Group

The Blue Group was one of several training groups at the Temple of the Jedi. These training groups were small collections of students who commit to learning and practicing together to realize the dream of being - as closely as can be achieved in the "real world" - Jedi Knights.

Each training group was lead by a mentor. While this mentor aimed to emulate the great Jedi Masters of fiction, we realized that this ideal is just that - an ideal that we struggled daily to obtain. Like the stars that exceed our grasp, the ideal gave us something to strive for.

The Blue Group was originally founded and mentored by John Olorin. Our current mentor is one of his former students, Chris-Tien Jinn. The Blue Group current exists as a gathering of occasional visitors around a resident Jedi. Learning is done informally without a set curriculum, although many suggested readings and exercises can be found either on the discussion board or the syllabus (see links below and to the left).

Discussion Board

As part of our training, we have a discussion board. Sections of this board are open to visitors, and we appreciate your presence and comments in the public forums.

Office Hours

Office hours are currently closed.

Lessons/Syllabus

Lessons and assignments are linked from the syllabus. Currently, we simply offer guidance to people willing to pursue independent, solo study. Many lessons are being written or revised, so please be patient as we continue to improve the quality of our educational offerings.

Other Reading Material

A wide variety of reading material can be applied by those whose ideal it is to be Jedi in the modern world. We have compiled a list of books that we recommend most highly, to which we continue to add.
